  • Main areas of expertise: Biomedical science, precollege and public science education, environmental science.
  • Products: Edit and write how-to manuals, books, reports, conference summaries, science curricula, newsletter and magazine articles, brochures, fundraising proposals, and other Web and print publications for technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • Clients: Include the Office of Science Education at the National Institutes of Health, Science News magazine, Howard Hughes Medical Institute, Cold Spring Harbor National Laboratory, the Foundation for the National Institutes of Health, the National Park Service, and the World Bank.

Projects include writing, editing, and production supervision. Working closely with authors, ensure grammatical, semantic, and logical integrity of documents and Web pages. Emphasis on complex, high-visibility materials, written under tight time constraints. Able to organize, meet deadlines, work under pressure. Have supervised production of many types of documents and have coordinated the work of others, including other writers and editors, graphic designers, printers. Negotiate editorial and production changes with project leaders, authors, production staff tactfully yet firmly and with a sense of humor.
